Psycho Social Support

Child benefits services called mobile Kindy fiji provides humanitarian assistance not only with traditional relief aid such as food distribution and basic health care, but also with psychosocial support.

Our psychosocial support focuses more on children, helping individual children and communities to heal the psychological wounds and rebuild social structures after an emergency or a critical event like cyclones and flooding that occur yearly here in Fiji and the pacific. with providing this services It can help change children into active survivors rather than passive victims.

Early and adequate psychosocial support can:

·       prevent distress and suffering developing into something more severe

·       help children cope better and become reconciled to everyday life

·       help beneficiaries to resume their normal lives

·       meet community-identified need

In 2016 child benefit team facilitated and was part of UNICEF pacific psycho social material/ resources workshop for one week. Having the governments ministries full support with non government organizations and free lancers in the media, the workshop members were able to create story books and posters.
